Water meter theft is Crime of the Week

(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The theft of a water meter from Illiopolis a month ago is the Crime of the Week from Sangamon and Menard County Crime Stoppers. Police say on June 29, a man and woman stole the meter – valued at $4,000 – from a water treatment facility on Mount Auburn Road. Both suspects are white. The woman is blond, and the man has a beard and glasses. If you know anything, you can submit a tip here or use the P-3 app or call (217) 788-8427. If your tip results in an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500, and you will remain anonymous.
