Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Tuesday evening, the newly built Scheel’s Sports Park got a treat of a friendly game of Softball. Illinois Senators and House Representatives took the field in what Patrick Joyce, Illinois Senator and Senate team coach says, “There’s 40 years of history”.

When asked about if there’s any real rivalry within The House or Senate. Joyce tells us, “No. We don’t want to get hurt.”

As the opening inning took place, The House took the lead.

Friends and family of the lawmakers were in attendance.

“We got Democrats and Republicans in the same dugout, That’s a good thing,” said Joyce. “We need to see a lot more of this.”
