Springfield residents arrested after police find two guns

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield Police say two people are under arrest after two guns were found in a vehicle they were in Monday night.

According to a news release, Angel Cintron and Davonte Williams, both 19, each face preliminary charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm – No FOID.  Both are believed to remain in the Sangamon County Jail.  Court records are not yet available.

Springfield Police say their Street Crimes Unit made contact with a vehicle the two were believed to be in around 7 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Seven Brothers convenience store, 1801 S. 11th Street.

They say a search of the vehicle was made, and two loaded guns were found, pictured above.

Police say anyone with information related to the case should call Springfield Police or Sangamon and Menard County Crime Stoppers.
