Springfield, Il. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Springfield community showed up for the Animal Protective League (APL) Saturday at the Pack the Truck for Pets event hosted by Two Men and a Truck at Pet Supplies Plus.

Two Men and a Truck was taking donations to take to the APL, including but not limited to pet food, crates, cleaning supplies, treats, and toys. Halfway through the event, an entire truck was already full.

“The community has really turned out for us, and we are very happy and very excited,” says Two Men and a Truck General Manager Matthew Lippold.

Lippold went on to explain how Pack the Truck for Pets is part of a larger campaign with Two Men and a Truck called Movers for Mutts, which helps local animal shelters nationwide.

If you’re looking to contribute, it’s not too late! Two Men and a Truck is still taking donations. For more details on how to donate, visit Two Men and a Truck’s website or call the Springfield office at (217) 866-0864.

There is a full donation wish list on the APL’s website. Donations allow for the APL to conserve funds for more critical needs.

Two Men and a Truck’s next charity event, Movers for Moms, will take place at the beginning of next year.
