Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is a sweet young girl who is looking forward to a new home and a fresh start for spring.

Jelly Bean arrived at the shelter a month ago as a stray. She’s about a year old and is a very good girl. She’s easy to walk on a leash, loves to play fetch and sits and takes treats gently. She did well in a play group with other dogs but we don’t know how she does with cats. Jelly Bean is available for foster or adoption.

Does Jelly Bean sound like the girl for you? Come on out to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
