Woman found dead on I-255

Illinois State Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of women found dead March 30th near Cahokia Heights.

Around 3:20 am that morning, ISP discovered the body of the woman on I-255 northbound at milepost 15.

Authorities say she appeard to have been struck and killed in the lanes of traffic and the vehicle that struck the woman fled the scene after the crash.

Evidence at the scene leads investigators to belive the woman was struck by a Freightliner truck.
