Rushville man arrested for crimes involving a child

A 30-year-old Rushville man has been arrested for various crimes involving an underage girl.

In October, the Illinois State Police were contacted by the Rushville Police Department to investigate Dallas Wilcoxen for communicating with minors through an online platform.

Wilcoxen was taken into custody by ISP on Monday in Beardstown after traveling there to meet what he thought was a 14-year-old.

Wilcoxen is charged with various felony crimes including Traveling to Meet a Child, Indecent Solicitation of a Child, and Grooming.

Wilcoxen is being held in the Schuyler County Jail pending a detention hearing.
