Former Springfield Administrator Officially Out in Galesburg

/WGIL-AM Radio

A former Springfield school principal and teacher is officially now out of a job at the place she left the capital for.

WGIL Radio in Galesburg reports the school board in Galesburg last night voted to formally dismiss Tammie Bolden as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and as director of the district’s “Bright Futures” pre-school program.

The board vote came after a closed-door hearing involving Bolden and her Peoria-based attorney. District-205 board president Robert Lindstrom tells WGIL he believes there are no more steps to take in the dismissal.

Bolden’s was one of a number of budget-related cuts the district is making, but she said previously a new superintendent there simply didn’t make her feel welcome.
