City of Springfield Administrative Offices and Lincoln Library Closed for MLK Day.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the City of Springfield administrative offices and Lincoln Library will be closed on Monday, January 15th. In a news release the city says, We take this opportunity to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a visionary leader whose tireless efforts continue to inspire positive change and unity in our nation.

In the spirit of his words, “The time is always right to do what is right.” They say they encourage everyone to use this day as an opportunity for reflection, service, and community engagement.

Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 16th.
