Body Found in McLean County

A McLean County man has been found dead in rural central Illinois.

Coroner Beth Kimmerling says the 26-year-old man was found on the side of a road in rural LeRoy early on Sunday. He was taken to a Bloomington hospital where emergency workers pronounced him dead.

Kimmerling says the man’s identity wasn’t immediately being released pending the notification of his family. An autopsy is planned today. Anyone with information is asked to contact the McLean County sheriff’s office.
