$44,000 recovered after traffic stop. Weapons, drugs also confiscated

Last Friday morning around 11:20, the Springfield Police Department served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Lakeshire Drive.

Before the warrant was served the officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspect who had been identified as 25 year old Dalton Ridgeway-Williams of Springfield. The traffic stop yielded a large amount of cash being recovered. Ridgeway-Williams was detained while warrant was served at the residence.

This search resulted in the recovery of 3 firearms, over 23 pounds of cannabis, 3 pounds of THC wax and around $44,000. Ridgeway-Williams was arrested for armed habitual criminal, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, delivery of cannabis over 5000 grams, and armed violence.
