A 22-year old Springfield man faces multiple weapons charges for fleeing from officers after multiple shots were fired in the area of 13^th and Edwards around 3 a.m. on Sunday.  When officers responded to the area, a vehicle fled from the scene. Tydon Austin was later located walking around 15th and South Street near the vehicle.  Austin attempted to run, but officers were able to take him into custody.  Police located a loaded 9 mm firearm in the area. Among the charges are unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon by a gang member.
