The Beauty Den: Lip balms that are the bomb!

I realized after I took this picture I may have a bit of a dependency problem on lip balms going on here.
I always have one within reach. In every room of my house, a few different ones in my purse, one on my nightstand and backups in my drawer!

The best thing about about some of my absolute favorites is how inexpensive they are!
e.l.f. Cosmetics’ Lip Kiss Balm is just $2! The color is very light and sheer. I usually swipe this on for weekend errands. Their liquid lipstick (I swear by it!) comes in lots of fun colors and is only $1!
You can check out their lip products HERE
Burt’s Bees has been a part of my daily routine for years. I love the kick of peppermint that wakes you up a little bit in the morning. I prefer the plain old original one over anything else.

A friend of mine gave me a sample of Rodan+Fields Essentials Lip Shield. I’m getting more familiar with Rodan+Fields because quality skin care is so important as we age!!! This lip balm has an amazing grapefruit scent and most importantly, spf 25.  I’ve started using it a lot more as we head toward summer sun. Pick it up HERE I’ve also tried a few lip serum beads from R+F that you apply at night right before you go to bed. I swear when I woke up my lips felt plumper!

ChapStick Total Hydration is another good one for nighttime. This one stays right next to my bed and the “soothing vanilla” smells so good!
Chapstick Total Hydration and Burt’s Bees are available at any drugstore and retail right around $5 or less!

EOS lip balm I just started buying this year. It’s fun to use. I’ve noticed whenever I put it on in front of a guy I get the inevitable,”Um, what is that?!” It’s shape makes it very easy to find in the dark black hole all your stuff falls into at the bottom of your bag. I keep one of these in my purse so I can quickly fish it out while I’m waiting in the pick up line for my kiddos at school, when you’re stuck in traffic, etc. I’ve read online about people getting rashes on their face from this product, so if that happens to you…STOP! Don’t use it, obvs! You can look HERE at their wide range of lip stuff and see if it’s for you…

Thank you for letting me share my beauty product obsessesions with you! Ideas, questions? Email me! dmichaels@capitolradiogroup.com
