The Beauty Den: Double Duty Makeup from The Balm

Okay ladies, I’ve found a makeup brand that has some great options for multi-tasking products! Thanks to Ipsy (a beauty bag subscription service) I discovered two great additions to my travel bag from The Balm. Their philosophy is “beauty in five minutes”. The packaging on all their products-ADORABLE. The pigments are rich and easily layered. Cruelty free and talc and paraben free too!

As soon as I have used up these samples, both will go on my shopping list!

The first sample I got in my bag a few months ago…Hot Mama! A lovely rose shade that can be used as shadow or blush. I’ve only been using it as an eye shadow. it’s just too hard to get a blush brush in the sample. It’s not a color I would normally pick up because I tend to use more neutral shades on my lid. That’s the beauty of a subscription service though, they get you out of your comfort zone and you are excited to try shades you normally wouldn’t pay full price just to experiment with. I reach for this over and over again, especially on days when my eyes look tired or puffy. Paired with an eye brightener it really wakes up my whole Eye area.

Next up, from last months’ Ipsy bag….The Balm Voyage Vol II shadow/luminizer. On their website it comes in a whole palette with gorgeous colors. This makes a flawless highlighter and a great base shadow. I freaking love it. Can’t get enough of it. Really. This sample will not last me very long.

Later, lovelies! Have fun with your makeup!
