Summertime Madness

Hey all! Summer is flyiiiing by! I can’t believe that it is already almost July. My favorite weekend of summer is just around the corner.  I feel like summer hits its peak on the 4th of July.  It doesn’t matter what kind of weekend you’re having, quiet at-home bbq with your family…All out backyard party….Festivals and fairs and fireworks….I love it all! When I first started out in radio I was the one working on the Fourth of July, back in the studio.

When I was younger, most years we could watch fireworks at a local park, or go downtown and watch the fireworks over the Arch at the VP Fair. Sometimes  my brother and I used to climb up onto our roof to see how many different fireworks displays we could see from our house.

When my husband and I were dating, we went to Taste of Chicago for a couple years over the 4th of July weekend. It’s harder to make it there now, with little ones in tow, but we will be back!

The day always holds a little bit of anything is possible magic. It makes me a little giddy. Or maybe that’s my wine cooler. Just kidding. Nobody drinks those.   fireworks-behind-tree-1436469-s
