Back from “vacay”

Not really a vacation, mind you. A Movecation.  Never again. Never again with kids, anyway.  So glad to be in our new home!  The last couple days in our old house, I got fairly emotional. I thought I had already said goodbye to our home of eight years, until I walked around the empty rooms and was flooded with memories. Bringing babies home.  Christmas mornings. Family dinners. Nights with friends on the porch.  First steps. I had to give myself a few moments to appreciate and feel the loss of moving on from this place.

Now it’s time to start a new chapter, and look forward to all the new memories to be made! The boys have handled the transition WAY better than I could have hoped.  (And better than me, by the way) My oldest has quickly made new friends and my youngest is loving the space to spread out all of his random collections of things. 😉 My husband has a loooong list of projects that should keep him busy from now until 2018!
